After extensive consultation with the Industry, the Event Awards 2021 Ceremony will join the long list of events to move online due to effects of Covid-19.
In a perhaps unusual move, the ceremony will be delivered as a series of bite sized broadcasts delivered each evening over 12 days from October 20 – 31 capping off a month-long industry celebration, during which the work of every entrant will be highlighted.
“The decision to move the Event Awards Ceremony online was not an easy one. However, based on feedback from the industry and ongoing travel restrictions and uncertainty, we have decided to celebrate the achievements and resilience of the Industry in a timely way, even if regrettably, that has to be done online.” Ian Steigrad, Managing Director of the Australian Event Awards.
How will it run?
A month-long celebration! How will it work?
The entire month of October will be an online celebration of the achievements and resilience of the industry, with Event Awards entrant highlights taking place from 1-19 October, followed directly by the announcement of the finalists and winners between 20-31 October.
Each day from 20 October, the finalists and winners of two categories will be celebrated. The results of the first category will air each evening at 6pm (AEDT) and the second at 8pm (AEDT).

Entrants List 2021
In March and April of 2021, the Australian Event Awards Team reached out to the industry across the country for input about the Australian Event Awards. One of the resounding messages they received was that the Event Awards 2021 should recognise the struggles of the industry, as well as the achievements and resilience of all players in surviving the challenges of 2020/2021.
The following list of Event Awards entrants serves to highlight a range of the individuals and organisations in the industry and what they have been able to achieve despite Covid-19.
Below is a list of entrants, not finalists. The plan for 2021 is that the list of Finalists will not be made available until just prior to the winner announcement. This is to allow for each entrant’s individual achievements and resilience to be highlighted in the lead up to the Awards Ceremony.
